Uganda

Uganda is roughly the size of the UK and lies astride the equator in the heart of Africa with a population of 30 million. It is land-locked with an average daily temperature between 20 and 35C. Did you know that the river Nile has its source in Uganda?

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa, roughly the size of the UK and it lies astride the equator. It's diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria as well as the source of the Nile. Its abundant wildlife includes chimpanzees as well as rare birds. Remote Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a renowned mountain gorilla sanctuary. Murchison Falls National Park in the northwest is known for its 43m-tall waterfall and wildlife such as hippos. The average daily temperature is between 20 and 25C. The nation's capital is Kampala, the currency is the Ugandan shilling and the 2016 population, according to the World Bank is 41.5million.
